I think everyone does things that fits in with some kind of stereotype.. thats why there are stereotypes... No one wants to admit that they do things that resemble thier stereotypes. Thats bull. There are so many different categories. Cmon. Be real. You'll resemble one or another. Whether you are or you aren't. Whatever.
As a young Asian-American woman, or course people think certain things of me. Some of it is true. Some of it is not.
There are times when I alter my behavior so people will think that I'm not the stereotype (Dave Chappelle did a sketch on this). But for the most part, I try not to let it bother me. The things I do, like, dislike.. they're all as valid as the next person's.
There are a lot of ignorant people in the world who will never see things differently. So what can you do?

Yes, there is a stereotype that all stay at home wives of military men are fat and lazy. I am not lazy, just fat.

people tend to see me as a thug because of the way i dress,but once we speak their attitude changes.you can see it in their expression
