Poetry readings? music? I'd like to find something that can be "attended" weekly by a few people who are interested in starting a friendship group, and need a venue worth visiting on a weekly basis, in Bellingham, Washington. Any suggestions?

1. The B.S. of Comics is a loosely affiliated group of cartoonists based on face-to-face contact. Anyone who can make it to the weekly meetings on a semi-regular basis is an official BSer! We sit around and work on our comics, keeping mostly quiet, and trading ideas, encouragement and promotional services. Some of us are published, some thinking about it, and some not interested. But we all draw some sort of cartoons or caricature, and we meet in Bellingham, WA.

2. Network with other business professionals in the Bellingham area, and build business leads with dedicated and motivated business people.

Be adventurous! Drive more than 50 miles from home... you'll be glad you did!!
Be inspired! Come and find out what is going on around the Pacific Northwest.

The Climate Impacts Group (CIG) engages in climate science in the public interest, working to understand the consequences of climate variability and climate change for the US Pacific Northwest (PNW). CIG’s unique focus is on the intersection of climate science and public policy – performing basic research aimed at understanding the consequences of climate fluctuations for the PNW, and promoting application of this information in regional decisions.

You could look into taking dance classes at WWU...I believe they have swing, salsa and other classes that could then be turned into a weekly night out at one of the local venues for dancing.
