For a 41 year old man to always get nervous and uncomfortable? If his kids fight ( 2 boys) or get out of hand he cannot handle it, it makes him too nervous. So he does nothing about it, or he leaves. He left his family recently one of the reasons was that he could not handle the commotion of the kids and the animals. His mother always says " we can't make him to nervous you know" never making him handle anything unpleasant. Everyone treats him like the boy in the plastic bubble. Is that weird?

I agree with many of the others - his behavior sounds like a nervous condition or panic disorder. There are some great medications out that I think he could really benefit from. These conditions are very difficult to deal with on your own and can be quite debilitating not to mention very hard on the families of the one suffering from the condition. He should be encouraged to talk to his doctor about how he has been feeling.

Sounds like he's been through some sort of trauma, probably related to the things that make him nervous. It's not right to judge the guy. You could be worse if you'd been through soomething similar.
He just needs to deal with it. It's not right to run from the issue.
I know of (never met) a guy who freaks out like this and has to talk with a finger puppet to cope. It's sad.

ya kinda I mean my dad is 38 and he's the farthist thing from being like that so ya it's a bit weird...I mean 3 year should not make that much of a difference...maybe he has a mental anxiety disorder like me. he should look into it...because I'm proof you actually can get good help.

I'm sure the kids know what to do to have the house to themselves. He better put an end to it now before it's too late.

It seems that with everyone indulging him, he's come to expect it now. I'd say he is being spoiled like a child.
