My son was born when I was 19, but I had been married for a year, we had enough money, and we were just ready. I would never suggest having a baby unless you're married and happy. A 19 you doesn't need to be on her on with no daddy around.

At 19, I think you should go out and get a job at a daycare, see what it's like to take care of a baby for 8 hours a day and then see if you still really want one.

A full time job that will provide you with health insurance for you and the baby, money for housing, utilities, groceries, clothing, travel expenses (car or public transit) and the hundred of dollars of baby equipment (crib, car seat, toys, cloths, bottles, etc);
arrangements at a daycare for someone to care for the baby while you are working full time;
mental stability so that you do not break down after months of exhaustion;
visit a ob/gyne to discuss your health and individual health care needs for a pregnancy;
a place to live that is not with your parents (either alone or with a significant other);
hang out with friends who have kids for long period of time to see the good and bad moments of being a parent;
discuss this decision with other friends and family members to see what they think (not that they can decide for you, but it will change your relationships with them);
understand that if you become a parent you will likely lose a lot of your social outings (you can't take a baby out late at night, friends will not always want to hang out with a baby or little kid and it is unfair to assume that you can leave the baby with your mom or someone else whenever you want to go out, plus you will not have much money for things like movies and dinners out);
a man who has all of the things above to be the father and WANTS to be a father with you or the money for fertility treatments and donated sperm from a sperm bank
