I recently purchase a new machine and have come across a couple different issues:
1. When I surf the internet my machine either "locks up" or internet explorer shut down automatically? Is this a MS windows issue?
2. When I leave my machine on, my screen saver kicks in after 10 minutes of no activity. After about 20 minutes the machine locks up and I have to reboot to use my machine? Is this a memory issue? I currently have 2GB of RAM. Below are the specs of my machine:

The IE issue may stem from either a virus or spyware, scan your system for both and make sure it is clean. You can use an online scanner such as BitDefender or HouseCall by Trend Micro.

As for the computer locking up after 20 minutes of idle time, look at your power settings, your system may be configured to either go into standby mode or enter hibernation, more then likely standby as hibernation will completely shut your system down. To check this look in your power options under your control panel. On the first tab you should see an option for standby make sure it is set for "Never" and the last tab will be hibernate, make sure that is disabled. Those features only need to be used on a laptop to save power.

try giving the door a Fonz form thump the place the door seize is. Our final gadget replace right into a Hotpoint and for the final 2 years of its life we would have liked to thump the door for the wash cycle to kick in.
