My DVD Burner Wont Burn ("says error"), Do you think it might it be out of lead or dirty?

Umm... not that kind of lead...
Try these first.
1.) Does your DVD burner reads dvd cds? (not burning cds)
==> insert a dvd video and run it on any dvd player programs, if the disc plays, then that's good.
[OTHERWISE]
If your dvd won't read, go to the device manager panel. [RightClick MY COMPUTER>Properties>Hardware>Device Manger] Look for your dvd burner in the panel and see if it has an exclamation point on it. Double click the drive to open it's properties, then try to update your dvd driver through the net.[NOTE: (for WINXP USERS, make a system restore point before doing this)]
2. Try to completely delete the burner program for your dvd burner then reinstall it.
IF these 2 didn't even made a difference, try to contact your technician. =)
