In the first place, I never thought that India are prospective World Cup winners in 2007. I might be proved wrong in the end, but then that is another story. But this defeat is good in a sense that India hereafter, contrary to the hype will never think that WC 2007 is a cakewalk for them. Hopefully, they will tread with caution even against the minnows.
Surprisingly, Saurav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh the two players with big question marks over their careers were the only saving grace for Indian batting. The rest of the Indian extraordinaries simply wilted before an ordinary Bangladesh side. Bangladesh showed application and a real desire to win. India lacked both. Maybe the smug Aussie, Greg Chappell alongwith Indian superstars need to answer a few questions too.
Sachin, always regarded as India's best bet, may have unknowingly raised the question whether he is fit for automatic inclusion in the Indian side any longer.

That was very shocking. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the match yesterday. Very unpredictable. Actually, I guess this is because of the overconfidence of the team as well as the people. No-one expected India to lose.

There are young players in the Bangladeshi team this time. And India's the same old team. They don't care if we win or not, they're gettin their money anyway. Selfish motives.

But we CAN win if we try...it's not too late yet. Let's hope for the best!!

There is a superstition associated with World cup for India. If India looses first match; India will win the World Cup.
