As long as I have many other extracurricular activities, do you think playing a high school sport is an absolute must for getting into college?

i've never played a sport in high school and it didn't make a difference. and even if you want to play a sport in college it sometimes doesn't make a difference!

when i got in to college about a year later i went out of field hockey -a sport i enjoy watching but i'd never played it and got on the team. same with bowling, i played at home for fun top score was a 76 and got on the team.

so sports don't define you in terms of getting into college, as long as your smart and have a passion for learning you'll get in!!!

Athletic participation in High school has absolutely no standing when applying to a college--unless you are seeking an athletic scholarship.

Good Luck....
