I'm going to get a Bass Guitar and start playing Bass. But I don't know how to play guitars or read notes or tabs.

Where can I get free pictures and videos that explain how to play Bass Guitar, do different notes, and other stuff I might need to learn on the internet?

And I would like text tutorials that I can print out.

It's kind of hard to find free pictures and videos for every basic thing you need to know. Youtube is a good site to find a lot of basic bass lesson videos, but some are not too great considering that they are made by people who are not actual teachers. But for starters, here's a couple of websites you can use...

Nice videos on actual playing techniques.

The bassics of bass. You can read on how to read music and tabs, and other stuff. Check other parts of the website for more advanced stuff too.

This is the website I use the most. The basics section has a LOT of stuff, but Cyberfretbass.com might be a better starting point.

Unfortunately, the first link is the only comprehensive video website I know of. I've always found videos more useful than pictures, so I don't have any comprehensive picture websites.
You can try going through the links on http://www.cyberfretbass.com/links/index.php to find other stuff you need.

Hopefully my input was of any help. Rock on man.
