I sometimes wear black eyeshadow myself. If applied and used correctly it can give a very smouldering, smokey appearance.

Because it just is. It's not my fault it is. Personally, I like it. But I don't know why you're asking this...eye shadow ranges from white to baby blue, and hot pink to sea green. So I don't know what your problem is with black eye shadow.

there are many colors of eye shadow.
black usaully will show off bright colored eyes, like blue or green.
it also just suits some people's personalities and their look.
