The Da Vinci Code and Polar Express.
Maybe there was too much hype and I expected more out of Tom Hank's in both movies..
The book, The Da Vinci Code was very good.
There have been others, but those were the most recent.
All the controversy and propaganda helped ruined it.
Much a do about nothing. Just a novel about some history and mostly fiction.
I felt betrayed by Dan Brown and the media.

Harry Potter for sure. I love the books (well, I did when I was younger, and now I'm just waiting for the final one to come out) but the movies are huge disappointments. The plots are butchered, the acting is forced, and the special effects are overdone.
The fact that they're on their 4th director in 5 movies doesn't help either. You need some consistencies, and every new director wants to add their own flair to it, which is understandable, but when you're making a series you need to keep the same director, or disallow drastic changes. The movies are so frustrating for me to watch because they change way more than is necessary, and keep in pointless minutes that could easily be cut for more plot depth.

Catwoman! That movie was SO boring. It was so boring that not even the fact that Halle Berry in a catsuit could save it. I kept waiting for some action in that stupid movie but it only came within the last 10 minutes or so. Why I stuck with it for so long is beyond me. Catwoman received a lot of hype yet it failed to deliver.

Do YOU know the name or do you need help remembering it?! Cause if you know the name and you're looking for a specific movie title....why would you ask which famous movie disappointed US the most?!? Especially if this film had a nomination for a Grammy, what's the chances we were equally disappointed?? Depending on what you're getting at, why not say "I'm thinking of a famous movie that was very disappointing, what is it?" My guess is, you know the title of the movie, you're giving 'hints' so that we name it first and it'll justfiy you feel like WTF. Then you could also ask 'did anyone else feel disappointed about .............???

The Phantom Menace. I was a kid when the first three came out in the early 80's and loved Star Wars.
I was so excited when they announced Episode One was coming out. I stood in line for four hours to see it on the first night and walked out ready to punch someone.
What a huge disappointment!

The Most Recent for me would be "The Da'vinci Code"
I have been a long time fan of Tom Hanks (he's so versatile) but. . . that movie was all hype. . . very boring.
I don't blame the actors. I think that the material was too complex to transition to screenplay.
