Well, if you mean to prevent pregnancy then I would say no. If for some reason you think he has an std and something happened with the condom where you are pregnant, then I would definitly get checked out for an std. Condoms are used either to prevent some forms of stds (and although it fully does not protect against pregnancy of stds can decrease the odds) or pregnancy. If you are already pregnant, you can't get pregnant again. If you think he has an std I would say first off make sure he gets checked as well, and you should use condoms. It depends on what you originally use condoms for. And the sperm will not harm the baby. Nor will sex in itself. Your baby is not in the area and is fully protected. Your body handles these things well and is prepared for those things. Though I wouldn't do to rough sex is great and healthy in pregnancy. If it is related to an std (afraid the sperm could cause it to spread to the baby) you may need to talk to your doctor as some forms can cause more harm than others to your unborn and they will need to treat it. But if you are just afraid the sperm will hurt the baby then you are okay. Most of us mommies to be (and mommies) have had fears in our pregnancy and sex can be one of the biggest concerns because some of us are unsure if it could hurt the baby. As long as the doctor says it okay it is fine. Congrats on your pregnancy by the way. Is this your first? Just curious. This is my first and the worries seem to run wild (especially in the first trimester). Also to LilyRose, she wrote additional post later than most people answered. There are a few rude posters but for the most part it was out of wondering about the issues. They did not know the details until a minute or two after posting. I just missed the additional details.

There is no need to be rude, if you ppl had read everything, she was worried about sperm harming the baby.
The answer is no, you do not need a condom, sperm is not going to harm the pregnancy, or the baby. If it starts to hurt while having sex, stop. Once you're closer to your due date, and start dilating, you may want to ask your ob/gyn about sex, since there is a hormone in sperm that can induce labor. I know, I had sex when i was 4 cm dilated, and went into labor at 35 weeks. If your sick of being pregnant, it may not be a bad thing though.=:) Good luck

Only if you are afraid of passing STD's to one another or you are seeing other people. Otherwise, there is no real damage in not using a condom, however, if there are other issues, discuss with your physician/obstetrician

If you think he has been exposed to an STD ...but then why would you want to have sex with him if he has been exposed to an STD in the first place? Other than that why would you use a condom...afriad you'll get pregnant?

Nope. No need unless you are worried about collecting some STDs. It sounds crazy, but there are some crazy relationships out there.

Well, I don't think it's possible to get pregnant when you're already pregnant if that's what you're worried about.
