blackfoot, molly hatchet, tom petty, and someone said bob seger. Come On! He is from my home state of michigan! he aint southern rocK!

Lynard Skynard and The Allman Brothers Band are my favorites for southern style rock.

Skynyrd all the way!! I'm seeing them in a month. I love any Southern rock and would take forever to list all my favorites, but here's a couple besides Skynyrd: 38 Special, Blackfoot, ZZ Top, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker.... the list goes on and on.

Oh yeah, I'm country all the way, but I love rock music. This is my fav. genre. Almost everyone has already said the best bands.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams Jr. And lots of others.
Black Stone Cherry is fairly new, you should check them out.

In a more recent flavor, a long-time but still kicking southern-fried rock band...well worth a listen.... is Government Mule.

For me it has always been the ABB. But I really love Skynryd, Marshall Tucker, CDB, Molly Hatchet, and ZZ Top as well.
