I kind of did last week. i was splitting lanes kind of fast on the 710 and i think a cop tried to pull me over but i just zoomed past traffic and he never caught me. kind of stupid now that i think about it, but if he were to follow me i would of pulled over and say that i just didnt see the lights, lol.

Well i know theres no way he got my plates because the reason he tried to pull me over was becasue i got on the freeway from the onramp and cut across alll 4 lanes. thats when i heard the sirens but i just kept going.

Sometimes in the distance i see a little blue or red flash. I don't think they stand a chance unless they have a police jet or something similar.

Thats great news! You just saved hundreds of dollars on your bike insurance by getting away from the cops!

This guy got clean away and put the video on youtube--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxEkz9lSYFE

I'm not going to say whether I have or have not done this... but it isn't that uncommon around here. The cops need a really good reason to pursue past 100... so they won't even try to chase you if really open it up. A lot of people angle their plates upward so that when they are sitting on the bike and the suspension is compressed, the plates are almost impossible to see.

A side effect of running from the cops is more BS tickets for the bikes that do stop. Some cops on a local discussion board say that they can recognize bike types and helmet patterns, and that sometimes the same people who run will stop when they think they haven't done anything wrong.

Yeah, there was one time I did I-95 back in the 80's on an XS1100.I didn't try to outrun anything, I was just going fast-because I could. Well that brought a lot of fun. But by the time 15 mi had gone past me in about 5 minutes...I had stopped for a red light even...I heard the siren and cut through a parking lot. Then more sirens. AT that point I just got away, made turns and out of sight.
The mid eighties cops had to big chevies and what not. No prob.
Nowadays there are the traffic cams and sensors. Still, they are not amused by antics like that for thrills.
Recently I was stopped by a motor fuzz w/radar. But He knew me fm stopping me before 'cause my passenger didn't have a helmat. Anyway, He asked what my speed was and I said, Last time I looked it indicated 154. I was lucky that day, he was on a phone and that rad gun wasn't really aiming at anything. That would have been a tow and a lot of other stuff.

Just keep in mind he might have gotten your plate numbers, then I would stay off the bike for a bit. Its easy on a bike, but running from the cops is still illegal. Anyway Ive thought about it before, but I was on my 400 so I didnt wana chance a V6 vs. a 400cc bike.

Few cars can keep up with a bike. Perhaps if the cop had a supercar...and even then it had better be a nuts supercar...even hear of Ghostrider from Europe? Lol, on the other side, you're not really endangering anyone cause you're on a bike...however you're endangering yourself.....still dope fun though eh? Lol

My ex did once, but eventually stopped when he was a block away from his house. The cop actually complemented him on his driving and didn't give him a ticket, I never got back on the bike with him after that.
