My favorites are some of the older ones. I like and recommend the following singers/groups:

Southern All Stars with lead singer Keisukei Kuwata
Dreams Come True with lead singer Miwa Yoshida
Kiroro
Miki Imai

1, 2, and 4 are legends in the Japanese music field.

I personally think that singers like Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, Koda Kumi, etc. are teeny bopper types. Sort of like "New Kids on the Block" of 80's fame. But at least they could sing. A lot of these young "singers" now need so much digital help that their real voice is so different from what we really hear. Sort of like a Milli Vinilli (sp?) act.

no longer except you have very sturdy eastern and a diploma or skill this is in call for. you will possibly be a television 'expertise', while you're prepared to conform to foreigner stereotypes and look stupid.
