Spelled Avayah, it means 'sheep' in Sanskrit. Spelled Avaya, it's a phone system company. I think the name is beautiful. She should spell it Avaeyah. Very unique. I've always loved having a unique name, and I'm sure your cousin's baby will like it too.

I found Avayah - it is a Sanskrit word for "sheep". And Avaya - is a name that is used by several businesses, technical type, phone systems companies. So perhaps, Avaya, the name, must have something to do with communication. Avaeyah, I have no idea. Avayah or Avaya has a nice sound to it though. I actually like that name!

Have never heard of that name, but have heard of Nevaeh, (na-vay-ah)which is Heaven spelled backwards. Sounds kind of similar. Very pretty, and if thats where she got it from, a great way to give a little twist on a very popular name. Nevaeh came out of nowhere, and is now in the top 100 for 2006.

sounds a lot like the hot name Neveah, heaven spelled backward, which I really don't like. A lot of people are choosing it tho. I would use the simplest spelling.
