try with the msdn first..
then to start programming choose a language like C# or VB, and choose an environment as for web programming or windows forms programming

PC for dummies, you can also see in your comp if you have Microsoft interactive training.
Go to start all programs then accessories and you'll see on the menu if you have it, if it's there just click on it you can also click on create a short cut so you'll have it on you're desktop ready to be use

to learn .net through mastering vb.net will be better if you know
a bit of visual basic
