Its either food allergies, bad diet, or it could be something like Celiac Disease - which is a reaction to various grains suc as wheat, rye, barley, and oats.
Being a friend sometimes calls for telling the truth in love. She needs to find out what's causing the gas. It's in her best interest to find a way to correct the problem.
