I once knew many of my neighborhood kids as motivated, full of life and willing to learn all they can. Now they have become teenagers, they just seem to be too good for this world and do what hurts those who loves them the most, but they don't understand that they only hurt themselves in the long run.

We as parents have done this to our kids, I was lucky if i had a record player in my bedroom and if i got punish i got sent to my room and i hated that because unlike the kids today i didn't have a telephone or a computer or x box or TV or cable to watch .Kids today have everything handed to them and of course they don't see this and as a parent we are going to pay the price when we get old and need their help will they be there for us when we need them the most.

Sadly this is just a stage that your kids are going through. I think you should help them out,but give them there space from time to time. Have them bring home weekly progress reports of their grades and behavior so you as a parent can monitor them.If they are showing signs of improvement in both categories then reward them for their accomplishments.

Good luck!

well....im the same... but i mean i dont P1ss my parents off...i slack so hard i SHOULD fail and i deserve to fail...but i hate the nagging so i just slip by with B`s. kids these days just really need to be left alone...like yeah as a parent its different...but the best way to learn is to let them figure it out...my parents never helped me get my G1 or help me get a job or anything like that and i`ve learned independancy from it...so yeah let kids fail, they only got themselves to blame,...its only so long they can be in grade 9 and get sick of it,

Because we have better things to do than homework. And because we stay up late. I do my homework when I get home then I can do whatever I want for the rest of the night.
