According to Republicans "we believe that our country should remain under God". So why not let the Pope rule us. I mean hell with Seperation of Church and State right?

Seperation of church and state is so very important.
We don't want gov't controlling religion, now religion controlling the gov't.
As a Catholic, I wouldn't want the Pope running our nation.

umm, the GOP is a protestant organization, not catholic. the evangelicals, like myself, couldn't give a rat's behind about the pope.
