This burning is at the begining of voiding urine. Also the quantity of urine is less. Is it infection/injury. My doctor suggests I take pain killers only.It will disappear soon.

Are you drinking plenty of fluids? People tend to cut down on their fluids if they're afraid it will burn when they pee. You need to be flushing out your bladder and your urethra. The burning could be irritation from the procedure; they inserted an instrument through the urethra. That doesn't mean there is an infection, especially if the burning is just at the tip.

Follow your doctor's orders. Take the pain medication, drink plenty of fluids. If it's still bothering you as much on Monday, if your urine is cloudy or bloody (more than what it might be because of the procedure), give him another call.

You didn't say how long ago the operation was; if it was within the past few days, it's probably irritation from the catheter and may subside with time. Unfortunately OTC pain relievers won't help this as much as they do musculoskeletal pain. If the operation was longer than three days ago and especially if this just started, I'd be concerned about a urinary infection. Consult your doctor as soon as practical in any event.
