I had owned an '86 Nissan Model 720 (one year b-4 the hard bodies came out), it had a Z-24 4 cyl. in it and I just sold with 296,000 miles on it and everything on it still worked, including the A/C. Nissans are legendary for their reliability but so are Chevys too. The best way I figured it out was to go and rent one from one of the major car rental cos. for a couple of days. That way you can test it out yourself with no pressure from a salesman in the front seat with you. Yeah, it may cost a few bucks to do, but then your not stuck making payments on a bad decision.

Nissan Titan Vs Chevy Silverado

2016-11-16 20:21:32 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

the titan is an incredible truck.. all nissan trucks are, especially these next generation ones

the only drawback on the titan is going to be the price tag.. youre going to pay about $2000 more for a similarly equipped titan.. but if you can put that up, id buy the nissan without hesitation

just test drive the two and youll see exactly what im talking about.. ive had two nissan trucks in my life.. a 95 4x4 hardbody and my 2003 frontier 4x4.. my 95 is still running w/o ANY problems at 160,000 miles.. the only problem is that the odometer quit working about 5 months ago

find a chevy that will do that, and im not saying they are bad trucks, but 160,000 miles w/o any problems?

everybody's gonna have their own opinion but i can tell you my own experience.. i owned a silverado and after 1 year traded it in... in 1 year i had to take it in to the dealer 3 times.. i mistankingly turned it in and got a tahoe and had the same experience.. i had that for 6 months and got rid of it... i recently bought a titan as a daily driver because my car became too much to drive every day... i love the titan i have had almost 2 years and have had no problems.. i bought the 4 door and its very roomy inside... my friend has a 4 door silverado 2500 and i have a lot more room inside... its a lot smoother on the highway and its way faster than the silverado... hope that helps

ok the best truck is the silverado...the new 4x4 silverado are bad azz...i have a 07 texas edition 4x4 silverado and i mud on it all the time since i bought it...i cant say it will last long because it's new but it handles good has good gas mileage because it changes from a v4 to v8 when u need it...i can clearly say this is the best one...but i would try out or ask someone that has a nissan titian...

I have driven them. The room they have is almost identical. You will not be able to tell the difference. The Nissan is less common and better looking, but the Silverado has always been rated the best truck in the world almost every year.

Titan's had a lot of bad reviews about electronical failure. So I'd go for the Silverado. Silverado sounds meaner also.

both are assembled in america, so which one does "buy american" point to.

chevy has better reliability.
also depends on if you want to go four wheeling and if you will be towing anything and so on.
nissan is a great personal use truck. if its a work truck id take the chevy.

The Nissan will be more reliable and cheaper to maintain. I work for an Extended Warranty Company and a good percentage of our claims are for Chevrolet trucks and SUV's. They cost alot of $$ to maintain.
