Apply a coat nail hardener daily. Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails has been voted by many beauty magazines as one of the best. Also, don't use your nails to pick at anything or use as tools. When filing your nails, they should be straight at the top with slightly rounded corners to maximize strength. Never file them to a point, that will only make them weaker.

Have you ever taken Spirulina? It's a natural plant, full of vitamins and minerals and it's made into little green tablets. You have to take about 6 a day but it's fantastic. I was recommended it by my naturopath because it is a good source of iron. My nails are so strong that I end up cutting them because they get too long!!
There are a few different brands around but I use "Lifestream".

Gelatin is good for your nails. At GNC or another health food store the HAIR,SKIN,and NAILS formula is great, as long as it has horsetail root in it. Gelatin is always there, but horsetail root is not. Check ingredients.
