It's "real" in that he did make it.

But it's very unlikely that all parts of it (or even most of it) was accurate or that he actually did all the things he claimed to do.

There's a place in Russia I still call Lenningrad even though it's been renamed St. Petersburgh... as far as the Plaza Bank goes, was it not a place before it was founded as Plaza Bank? Maybe he's referring to an old place by a new name?

I would check the credibility of his facts before dismissing this confession, because he was #3 in Al-Qaeda, perhaps he served as the Program Coordinator or Director of Operations, in which case his confession could be legit...you never know.

eh, he confessed to over 30 plots i believe. he could have had close to a hundred going and i'm sure we don't know about them all. so he got his bank mixed up, who cares? the guy is foreign and could have mixed up the names, doesn't mean his confession is garbage and doesn't mean that he didn't have a plan in all the other attacks he confessed to. stop apologizing for the guy and let him hang in peace already. i know, i know, you want to claim bush and cheney and halliburton and a bunch of oil companies were responsible for 9/11 and all the previous attacks. yeah, keep thinking that. there is no al qaeda. it is all make believe, just like the moon-landing was faked too.

No, I don't...I agree with coragryphs point that he SAID the words...but don't think he was honest.

People who are being tortured will say anything to make the torture stop. Now based on what Bush says ANYONE in the US can be tortured because habius corpus has been suspended. All they have to say is that you are a "terrorist" whether you are or aren't doesn't matter. Sad day in American when you no longer have any rights

Yes -- at least much of it. There was independent evidence of his involvement in many of the activities of which he spoke. Which is why he got busted in the first place.

He knows his future is slim, he is guilty as sin, and he is also taking blame for his fellow terrorist, so they can continue their terrorist plans against the US.
