Tests are usually right. If you have PCOS your periods will be irregular. I'm surprised, however, that your doctor has not suggested a birth control pill, as this helps normalize the hormones that are out of range with PCOS. I would ask your physician about this. Condoms work okay, but with how worried you are right now you may want to consider additional contraception? I would if I were you. Getting pregnant when you're not ready is no fun. Like I said before, tests are usually right. Buy another one. If it's negative then I wouldn't worry....but I wouldn't dismiss your fear. You need to do something. You are trying to tell yourself something here...:)

If you used condoms, chances are you are ok. I have pcos as well, and will go six months without a period. I also don't respond to urine pregnancy tests, and have to take blood tests to find out when I am pregnant. May I suggest if you think you may be prego, have doc do a blood test, just to be sure..
Luck!

sometimes sex can hold up a period as is the case with my wife, if we are very active she could just miss one in a month. wait until the end of the month and take another test by then it should be accurate. also if you have had sex in the last 7 days of taking a test that can also throw it off. at the obgyn office there test is very accurate and you may want to go get looked at there just to be sure.

You used protection so I doubt you are pregnant, but life is funny and since you do have irregular periods you may be one of those women who do not even realize they are pregnant. Keep an eye on it, and if you start feeling pregnancy sympotms then you should retest. Hope you get the results you are looking for!

sometimes (rarely) tests are wrong just take another one or go to the dr. Or if you want just wait. I suggest going to the dr. Then again, it could just be ur PCOS.

if you are "worried" about being pregnant, then you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. this way if you needed to, you would have time to sort out your options. if you wait, then you may not have as many options as you have now.
