Yes I read an article on that case also. It is rare but that doesn't help if it is you suffering the reaction. I think more of these things happen than we are aware of. I found out the hard way I have a rare reaction to the sulfa drugs and spent 90 days in intensive care.The article in today's "Chicago Sun Times" is a little more in depth.

Well...vaccinations usually don't cause side effects because most vaccinations I know involve injecting a little bit of virus into a person's body when the body is totally infected by that virus. The body defeats that small amount of virus, and T-cells ("memory" cells) remember the way to defeat them and they'll eventually overcome the illness.
