Your qualifications are never going to get better until you start improving your skills and correcting problems from your past employment history (if any)
If you are just starting out and are not sure what type of work you are interested in then temping is a good way to break into the work force especially if you have computer skills.
One suggestion I would have would be to apply to several different agencies so that you have more offers to choose from, call them often to see what is available and most important continue to job hunt in the evenings even while on an assignment.

If you have the necessary work experience, most employers here don't look at your qualification results, they are more concern abt your achievement in your previous job and what are the experiences u have. But if u are fresh from schools, then the employer will probably look at your results cos u don't have any experiences to back u up. In this scenario, the most probable thing u should do is to do a research on the company and the job scope, find out everything u can in these 2 areas and try to impress the company what u know and how u can contribute to the job despite the poor results. U will beat those with good results but can't show that they can perform on the practical aspect.
