Greetings, Has anyone EVER knit a tube-circular afghan? If so where did U find the pattern. I've been looking for a "tube" sort of circular afghan pattern, because when it completed there is NO seams to sew up, No Ends to weave in, ALL yarn ends are "hidden" inside of the TUBE, When the afghan is done, it done........Hoo Ray. However, there's always a catch isn't it? Where do "I" find this pattern, and how do "I" work with such large number of stitches? 410 at one time on a CIRCULAR size 9 needle. {{{{ Help Please!!}}}}

They make longer circular needles, just cram all the stitches on there. The first row will be the most difficult to make sure it doesn't twist, but after that you're good.

I dont think there is such a pattern. It sounds un-makeable. Would you leave the sides or ends, open? I dont understand how that would be comfortable to use..you would get twisted up easily in it. Or would you lie inside it...but an afghan is something you grab to throw over your legs while watching tv, not something you have to put on. You would use twice the amount of yarn and it would take twice as long..you are essentially doubling up, so you dont have to weave in ends. And you really have to weave in ends, if you change colors a lot, or start a new skein. Just find a pattern you like and knit it.

I have knitted the afghan from this website. Since I gave it away without taking a picture, I can't show it to you.

But I used DK weight yarn so that it wouldn't be too heavy when it was finished.

Have fun!

You might try to find a circular tube pattern for a scarf and expand on it. Trial and error is my favorite part of knitting new things.
