I am curious what people do for a living and what type of satisfaction they receive from their work.

Educate children and teach them about the world outside of rural 99% white america.. I teach Spanish in elementary school starting with Kindergarten... I love seeing my kids realizing there is something beyond the 2 gas stations in our small "village" (not even a town - LOL) I adore it when I take them on field trips to areas of diversity and see them embrace the people they meet and proudly try to "reach out" to other cultures. I teach not only tolerance and acceptance, but interest, compassion, understanding and curiosity.

I'm a retired RN. Nursing was difficult on my body and I have health problems. I did the kind of work where I was on my feet up to 13 hrs a shift. The satisfaction was the one on one care of the patient, and the paycheck.

Currently I am a full time student, if everything goes the way it is supposed to, in two more years, I will be a social worker/lawyer. If everything works out, I'm sure my job satisfaction level will be extremely rewarding.

I am a File Clerk in a law firm. The job sucks ***, but it pays well and I love the people that I work with. It is pretty much a stepping stone to a better job for me.

I'm a pediatric nurse working with mostly special needs children. I love all the kiddos I work with and it makes me feel great to be able to make them smile.

desk clerk at motel. sometimes i love it, other times well as in any profession there are people that get on your nerves. it's funny, when i get a really irritating customer, i'm nice,polite and smile. when they're gone, i'm even nicer to the next one.
