A snake! This actually happened when my daughters pet ball python named Coral got out of her cage and made her way to my bed. She was balled up between my husbands' and my pillow. Fortunately my cat was on the other side of me. You can bet that I check that Corals cage is licked everynight since!

Anybody or anything but my cat, who is not a "thing" but the best friend I ever had. (Actually, she wouldn't be lying next to me, she would be on my tummy under the blankets, or murmuring in my ear if I didn't wake to "Sounds of Nature" on my CD alarm.) I have never quite understood why people "sleep" together, especially if one thrashes around, or likes to keep the TV on all night, (NO TV in my bedroom!) or whatever. I'm so mean!
