It could be a cyst or maybe gas... Cysts can be painful. You should go to the doc and get checked out. ovarian cysts are common and can come and go frequently but typically are not too serious. (some are)

I had two on my right ovary several years ago. One was on top and the other was on the bottom. I had been having pain in my right hip, but just thought it was my hip. Then one weekend when I was staying with my parents at night it became so severe that it actually made me cry. My pain tolerance is extremely high, so it was that painful. I ended up seeing my gyno and he told me that the cyst on the bottom was pushing up and turning my ovary one way and the cyst on the top was pushing down and turning the ovary the opposite way which is called torquing. If I hadn't come in to see him for another few days the blood flow to the ovary would have ceased and it would have died and it would have actually killed me. Surgery was very much welcomed.

Anyway, there aren't a lot of symptoms other than pain. I very strongly recommend you see your doctor as soon as you can. It could easily be something else that isn't serious, but you still need to see your doctor. Good luck. You will be in my prayers.

I've 2 ovarian cyst surgery before. 1 is around 2002 and the latest is in 2006. Usually you'll feel your lower abdomen bloated, and sometime you'll feel your ovarian (depend the cyst is at which side) pain before, during and after your period. Those pain is really unbearable. I hate that!

If you said your right side near your ovary is sore, my best suggestion to you is you better go and consult your gyna ASAP.

If your cyst are filling up it can cause pain. I have had several and even had surgery due to the things. I lost my right ovary due to a cyst the size of a softball growing from it. So call you doctor and let them check it out to be safe.
Good Luck

I have had many ovarian cysts, and typically the pose no pain at all except during menstruation, and it only seems like heavy cramping then... unless they rupture, that can be painful A rupturing cyst is usually accompanied by bleeding. There are other possible reasons for your pain, you may want to go to your docs and have it checked out.

Good Luck
