how can i get virtual villagers 1 for free?

I have Virtual Villagers too and once faced that dilemma. The solution is quite simple actually.

First of all, if you don't have the version from Yahoo, uninstall the current one you have an then download it from Yahoo. If you've already done that, then you're halfway there.

Next, is to play the game until demo time runs out. (I don't see how you can get addicted by only 60mins of playtime but anyway....)
To save your progress, you have to time yourself and close Virtual Villagers before your time runs out.

When you want to play it again, simply play it. I don't know why, but Yahoo has this strange 5 minute thing in it. Every time you play it, you have an extra 5 mins.

Though you won't be able to fully enjoy the game, you will be able to complete it. For example, your time has run out. Open VV again and then play for about 4 mins, then close. Simply repeat so that each time you close before 5mins, that progress is saved.

Another important thing about being able to finish the game is time manipulation. If you had to watch your villagers do things and having to close the program every 5 mins, it would be extremely boring. So, simply move into the future.

If you know how, all you have to do is click on the clock on the bottom rihgt of your screen. here, you can adjust the time. Changing it forward will make the villagers get tech points faster or do other tasks in shorter amounts of time.

BEWARE. Don't ever reverse the time. Keep the time ahead and it would be better if you changed it so that it reflects the real time, but just a day forward. Don't speed up the time to much, or your villagers will starve and die. 30min intervals in the beginning is ok. When you start getting it, you can go to 1 hr, to 1 day, to 1 week(if you start getting bored).
