I flush my toilet, water fills the bowl with completely normal strength, Just when the time comes for everything to go down, the water goes down very slowly, leading to a very weak flush. I've plunged, I've adjusted the fill level on the tank (the water in the tank actually was too low) cleaned the little hole at the bottom, and cleaned the hole around the rim to no avail. What else can i do?????

Try this simple test! Fill a 5 gallon bucket with water, and pour it into the toilet. If it takes the whole 5 gallons, your toilet has calcium inside, clogging the jets into the bowl. If it won't take all the water, there is a clog somewhere downstream of the toilet, and you will need to snake the line. End of discussion! Do not attempt to use liquid drain cleaners in a toilet. Most work by creating heat, and porcelain and heat don't get along. Good luck!

These are the stupid toilets that are being installed today to save water, and the amount of water they flush is ridiculous. However, If you have a button to press on top of the cistern to flush, then some can flush longer by holding the button down.

we have the same problem, we live in apartment comlex with a lot of units. any ways the toilet acts like it gets a big air bubble in to it and it,ll go down slowly. winter time mostly.you might have a rag or a little toy in the sewage and it might take sometime to go down to the main drain. we have a water saver installed on to
our toilet and i do not care for those on account they don,t allow enough water into the bowl to rid of anything. i have to flush at least 3 times to do the job right. maybe air pocket.

Check the venting to your toilet drains. If the venting is plugged, there is no where to displace the air, so the toilet drains slowly. If this fails, undo your toilet from the floor and check the piping maybe a kid has put something down there. Good luck I have lived with this in the past.

once again the importance of proper venting comes into play. do not know, and gathered no info on existing flora near you home. do not know where tree roots came to play. anyway, when your tank fills. does it empty a vast majority of the water that is in it? if not look for styrofoam float attached to flush lever and reduce this to lowest setting. (nearest the flapper falve) dumping as much water into the bowl via the tank resevoir results in the most efficient flush.tree huggers have reduced our ability to flush crap but with mcgiver modifications we can subvert their more than flatuelant desires.

On top of your roof you have a vent pipe for venting away sewer gasses often times this pipe gets clogged with debris from trres even dead birds or rodents. well what happens is this causes a vaccuum effect> I work in apartment and this is the most common cause a sure fire way to know if this is it is listen for a gurgling from sinks when you flush the toilet

pull your toliet off, snake your pipes, flip you toliet bowl upside down and run a hose in it. And well if your vents ,drainage and toliet is not plugged then should buy a different toliet. because some toliets are design that way. they are design to flush very slow, so it can reduce the noise of the flush. They usally cost more, but if you like the powerful flush then the cheaper one are for you.
