Yes. Not only do I think I have buried treasures in my yard, I know that I do. Often, when I am weeding gardens or walking through my yard barefoot, I come across interesting artifacts. Nothing big, usually. Most of the time I find small bits of colored glass and some rusty nails, but that is the beauty of it. It isn't "pirate treasure," money, or silver and gold that is the real treasure in life. It is the small bits and pieces of the past lives of others that is the real treasure. The pieces of colored glass may have been from a wine bottle that was dropped during a picnic held in the backyard on a sunny spring day. The nails may have been from a treehouse that children played in for seasons until it was old, rotting, and knocked down by a snowstorm in winter.

I find these treasures, and they spark my imagination. The fact that I don't know exactly how these small items of fascination go there makes them "buried" in a way. The treasures are the fond memories of someone else's life.

yeah, it's called the sewer line.

BUTm where I lived as a teen in colorado, in an older area, we found all kinds of things in our yard - likely where the outhouse used to be a long time before. Dishes, bottles, remains of a six shooter -the wood had rotted away and the metal had rusted and fused, but it was still pretty cool.

No, no treasure. But I have trouble growing things in one section so maybe there's a bit of toxic waste.
