I'd like to put my own picture or words. I know you can create your own clothing at cafepress.com but I want an iron on patch to put on the clothing of my choice or to give as a present. That would be really cool.

What about for photos?

And thanks for the great suggestions so far.

All you have to do is buy the transfer paper and then use any photo program to do your words and pictures. Make sure you flip it backwards before printing!

They have the paper in office supply stores.

There are several inexpensive, easy ways to do this. You can buy transfer paper at Michael's or any hobby or craft store. Draw or copy your design onto the paper and iron it on to the desired surface. Also, you can buy a heat transfer tool for about $20 that will transfer laser copies onto fabric. There are transfer mediums, such as Omni-gel that make textured decals out of magazine pictures or laser copies.
There are several fabric paints, such as so-soft or fashion beadz, that go on like markers. Words can be spelled out with hot-fix crystals.
Hope this helps :)

If you just draw the design on paper a copy place can copy it onto iron-on material for you at a pretty decent cost.
