How many of ya'll that are in highschool, or used to be made more and different friends in freshman year than you had in 8th grade? Did all your friends stay your friends, or did you start hanging out with different people?

I always thought that i would be friends with the same people all through school, but the truth is freshman year is when you start to find yourself and you see who your real friends are. it was hard for me because i felt like i was losing all my friends, but i made the best friends of my life when i was finally ready to let go of all of my "fake" friends. Things may be rough for a while, but it is so worth it. Once sophomore year comes it will be smooth sailing.

I have been to seven different schools, but when I did go from 8th to freshmen year Idid meet a lot of new friends as well as my old friends, but we still said hello and such. You change every year, it's all about learning about yourself and growing to know who you are. I still keep in contact with a lot of old friends from all seven schools. Sometimes friends grow apart, and thats okay. Goodluck

I'm a senior in high school. I've hung out with the smae people since jr. high. Yeah, I met some new people, but I realized they would never be as good friends as the people I knew for practically my entire life.

Our high school started in the 10th grade and I kept the friends through out high school. I lost contact with most of them.

Used to be in hs...
I started hanging out with diff people...I ended up going to a diff hs than some of my jh friends did, and we drifted apart. We didn't fight or anything, but they did their thing and I did mine. Plus, some of them started spending more time doing activities (like band) that I wasn't involved in, so I guess that led us our separate ways, too.

with my school, 8th grade was a different school all together. the "friends" i had in 8th grade that did go to my school were still my friends. if they are "friends" and not associates, they will always be your friends. associates change association
