From the way it is going I think that China will emerge as the next superpower. We have borrowed billions from them so far and it is climbing every day. According to our financial people we are getting deeper and deeper into debt and it doesn't look as though we will be able to climb out of it. I never badmouthed Bush before but I have to say at this time that he is ruining America and he should never have been elected president. He is not clever enough to hold the top office of this country and he will break our backbone if he continues on his course of destruction. I am not a person who is out to say bad things about our president but when the truth is being hidden from Americans then it is time to speak out. China is becoming a superpower with OUR MONEY! They are spending billions on new armament and there will surely be a crisis between the USA and China over Taiwan.
We no longer have a formidable army (although our navy is still very strong as is our air force) and we could never win a ground war against China and we know it. China does not have to fight a war. They are winning financially and that's enough.

The Bible indicates the US will be the last super power. No other real country will replace the USA, however the Vatican will become the real next super earthly power. If you call that a country as it technically is, then my answer to your question would be, the Vatican.

It will not be pretty. It will not last very long--no more than 5 years. The Bible says the whole world will wonder after the beast. The beast it is talking about is the Vatican. The Bible also says the US will lead the world to worship the beast (Vatican). That means the US will remain the most powerful large country. It will not loose the superpower position to another large country. However, the Vatican will tell the US what to do and the US will do it.

the obvious answer would appear to be china, but the economic wealth and the poverty are side by side, this can only lead to a civil war which if you look back in the history books has happened so many times you cant use your fingers and toes to count you think we would have learned better by now!

Britain economically
Russia, with the amount of WMD they possess but..... the true disaster of cherynobel (the nuclear accident) hasnt even begun to effect that area yet! The radiation was some type of slow kind which unfortunately i have forgotten the name of and if you really want to know look it up yourself, but thiswhich will cause birth defects, disease, greater then we could possible imagine in russia, belarus, poland and the ukraine... unfortunately this could effect the entire earth

I dont think it will, I think it already is China. It has the people, money, and technology. Ater this, I think if Iran and Iraq if ever they became united they would become a world power. I personally would not like to see this happen.
