Not much, if you change to something else it won't work for a couple of weeks and you may encounter the same problem. Seek medical advice, not the general public's. Good luck!

Switch antidepressants and/or start seeing a psychologist and in a few months to a year taper off the antidepressants because you won't need them anymore. They are not meant to be used long term. It's just that a lot of people never bother with seeing a psychologist and working on their depression and so they relapse after drug treatment ends, but people who either see a psychologist or do both have much lower incidences of relapse. You should know this, but the drug commercials don't tell you this and your doctor wants your business!

You may have to change the type of antidepressant you're on. For example, I took Celexa for a long time, and my husband nearly divorced me b/c I never wanted sex. I never dreamed it was my medicine until I read another person's story that sounded similar to mine. I switched to Effexor XR and my sex life shifted into over-drive and I feel alive again. Talk to your doctor and be honest even though you may not want to, they will probably try out something else. Because if antidepressants are causing side effects bad enough to depress you even more, then they're not doing you any good. Good luck, I feel for you because I've been there.
