Racism in the us is still alive and well, personally I don't see the point of it, but I have news for you, and ahsli said she wishes it would stop, well you will get your wish in about 100 years, and the reason for that is most everyone will be pretty much the same race with all the interracial stuff going on, my grand kids are half black, half white, that is no big deal as far as I`m concerned, so just know, things will change after we are all gone.

I prefer to be called black since that's what I am, and I love being black, and everything about it. I love the beautiful chocolate color of my skin and the thick texture of my hair, and I love the history of black people that has been ignored and stolen by Europeans who are jealous of who we are, and the great accomplishments of our culture. Africans had Universities, built pyramids, huge cities with governments and were kings and queens when Europeans were still living in caves and just finding out about fire. Racism in the USA is perpetuated with the myth of white superiority, as they continue to teach most things from a perspective that totally ignores the accomplishments of Africans and blacks in the USA, as well as other so called minorities.

Ofcourse racism still exist in the USA. I am also wiling to bet that many individuals d agree with this fact. It is a very touchy subject and although it has been on a decline, there still exist some people who chose to hate another race because of their skin color.
I am black and I am not racist because I know that God doesn't see color and I hope someday, we'll come to the understanding that we are all equal.

Yes, their is racism. I have a biracial friend who grew up socialized as a white person. She was taunted and called the N word by peers while growing up. I take people as people and try to treat them like I want to be treated.
When I visited Corpus Christi, TX, I was a minority there. And I felt that I was disliked for my fair skin and blue-green eyes. I didn't do anything wrong, they just judged me for the color of my skin, etc. I hate racism, no matter which group is being racist.

A better question is why is everyone up in arms still over race when same sex couples don't have a basic human right to get married, adopt in many states, file taxes together, be in the hospital room when the love of your life is dying because you are not married or a relative of? The bible is thrown at gays as a shield to why we can't live like others. But yet it was also thrown at a interracial couple back in the day. It's funny but I fight for equal rights of human beings.....not of a race or sexual orientation. Shouldn't we all?
