you need doctors advice because its hard for you to predict your ovulation period. My friend was having irregular menstruation period too, and since they want to have baby again, the doctor prescribed some drugs and vitamins for both of them.Good luck

If your periods are truly irregular, you need to figure out whether or not you're ovulating. If you're ovulating, you can take a pregnancy test about two weeks after ovulation. If you're not ovulating, you may need to see a doctor to figure out why, since you won't be able to concieve on your own without ovulating. There are many things that can cause problems with ovulation, and your doctor can probably help figure out if any of them are a possibility for you.

You can begin to figure out whether or not you're ovulating by charting your menstrual cycles, using basal body temperature (taken as soon as you wake up, first thing, same time each morning, before you sit up or get out of bed, with a special basal body thermometer) cervical position and cervical mucous. You may also want to use an ovulation predictor kit, along with the charts. You can find out more about charting from the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, or the website fertilityfriend.com.

Good luck.

I bought a "Maybe MOM" saliva checker at my local Walgreens. My periods were always unpredictible. The way the checker works is it shows you exactly when you are ovulating. You put a drop of your saliva on the mini microscope and let it dry which can take 30 minutes to an hour. When it dries you view the result. If your saliva cristalizes and makes a fern like pattern then you are ovulating. If it looks like nothing but scribble mess then you are not.And you can deffinatly tell the difference. The Fern like pattern looks just like a beautiful plant.I have my son as proof that it works!! The ovulation monitor was only about $35-40 dollars.

I was also the same way when your period is irregular its hard to detect when to take a test. But if you know what days you ovulated and around the time you suppose to come on your period test then.
