what are the care instructions for a cotton blanket?

im facing problem with mine..the cottons are peeling out

Cotton blankets should be washed in cool water and line dried. If you have batting that is coming out, repair your blanket first. have a nice day.

If you had washed this blanket in Baby shampoo when you first purchased it; this would never of happened to a blanket like this, it sounds to me as if this blanket is of cheap quality materials and can not be repaired now, but you could turn it into a inexpensive homemade duvet cover by covering it with two sheets and sewn down all the sides. sorry I could not offer you any repair idea.
