all teen movies are the same and have the same story line. "geeky girl like populare guy supposably never possible in real life BUT the boy finaly falls for her at the end......."
happend with sixteen candles prinsess diaries etc.

They are all there if you want the guy to chase the girl and not vise versa.
And by th way the girl in Sixteen Candels was stalked by a freshman she never gave the time of day but in the end he slept with the prom queen type.
And in Princess Diaries the girl is stalked by the duke not the other way around.
But the reason why there are so many films like the ones you are thinking of is the play Pygmallion is always being remade.

You should see Not Another Teen Movie, it's makes fun of the teen movies from now and the 80's. It's really funny

You missed some spots: the nerd striving to get the harvard scholarship and who pretends not to be interested in popularity but who proves people to be wrong at Prom night, the popular and beotch cheerleader, the cute quaterback....

because a lot of teens dream to be like that so the movies are like"fantasy" for some teens
and if the teens dream about it, they will like the movie and
the movie people will get $money

that is so true they need to come up with a new theme with these teen movies they are begining to become do predictable but i loved cinderella story with hilary duff it had that ugly plot but besie that i loved the movie and how they added a modern twist to it
