I haven't had a boyfriend for two years, went on a couple of dates but that's it. I don't want to go out with someone I do not like you know.. Anyway, one of my old male friends, enter my life again and he has sooo many problems (alcoholic dad, addicted to heroin) but is interested in me romantically.. I am so lonely and I love the attention I've been getting from him however, I didn't want to get involved with him for obvious reasons and he has stopped talking to me. I am lonelier (is that a word? anyway..) than ever and I am so sad right now. I don't know how to make myself feel better. Just as I think I have found someone, something goes awry.. :(

It has been 2 years for me but I have kids so I can't feel sorry for myself too long. Get out! to a mall, shopping or movies see people. If you don't look you don't find! It only takes that one special guy to look at you and boom there it is! Love is in the air!!!!!!!

Friends sweetie,spend lots of time with friends.
Take a class that interests you,join a group that shares a interest or hobby that you have.
Pick up the phone and talk to someone when you feel really lonely.
Maybe a pen pal.
Loneliness can be overcome without a man in your life,it really can.

Try a different routine. You'll meet different people, and learn something new as a bonus. But keep in mind, we learn from our mistakes; if something goes awry, figure out why and try to fix it and prevent it from happening again. Good luck.

When I feel lonely, I tend to reach out to my clients at my job. Listen to their stories, talk to them about their problems...it helps me put my problems into perspective, and maybe I make a new friend in the process.

Turn on the stereo and do push ups til you are so tired you can't do anymore then do sit-ups then switch back to push ups and then back to the sit-ups then jumping jacks or jump rope then pull ups then a hot bath - then stretch out nice and slow then go to bed !
