Would this offend a woman? If so what course of action is best?

If you have any money or retirement options, own any property or investments then you need to request a prenuptial agreement. It may insult her but if she is serious about you then she will understand. As long as she doe's the right thing and stays true to the marriage she will profit from the marriage anyway.

It depends if you have any assests or are in stable financial situtation you may consider a prenupital agreement a step in the right direction. However, If you are not financial stable and are not the "head of household" the "bread winner" (the person who makes the most money) a prenupital agreement is nothing more than a sheet a paper. Yes, for all the skeptics their is a chance that he(the asker of this question) may get rich (win the lottery, inheritence, stumble across the money, etc.) But chances are you are the same person financially that you will be 20 years from now. My best answer is a cautious yes... You never know what will happen.

I personally feel a prenuptial is the way to go. If a woman gets offended, maybe it is because she plans on taking what you have as her own...marriage should be about the relationship and not about what YOU have to offer her financially....if that is all she is interested in, you don't want to marry her anyway...

Depends on if u have $$$. I'd be offended personally. Thats like ur planning 4 failure. Marry someone u truly love and trust and make sure the feelings are mutual, then u wont have 2 worry about that. Marriage isnt a joke though many seem to think otherwise

If you've found TRUE love your not going to be worried about a prenuptial. Marriage is suppose to be for every and people treat it like it's the same as dating or something. If you aren't sure that you can trust this women or love her forever then why would you want to get married.

A prenuptual agreement is a good idea if one or both of the people have been married before and their estate will be claimed by children/grandchildren.
Asking for an agreement when two young people are just starting out and have little or nothing if really an insult.

It depends on your relationship. If the woman is an independant woman who is used to caring for her own then no because likelihood is that she is out for love not money but if the woman is used to using people then get a nup because she will get you... also how much do you trust the woman you are with??? If you trust then no but if you don't then yes

If she gets offended, I would be worried as to why. Prenups are so common now and the smart thing to do. Everyone hopes to make it last, but with divorce rates being what they are, better safe than sorry!

A prenup always seems like one foot out the door to me. Why not just write up the divorce papers and just hold out for the signatures until you really need them. There are no guarantees in marriage. It's about two people who give 100% for each other. Focus on that rather than the prenup.

Marriage these days has become a 50-50 gamble. If you have assets to protect or children, a prenup is smart.
