What are some differences between the Synagogue and the Roman Catholic Church?

As far as the Post resurrection Synagogue, I have no idea.

However I see so many similiaries between the Old Testament Temples of Judaism and the current Roman Catholic church.

(Priesthood, sacred vessels, altar, the lay of the Temple vs. the lay out of the RC church, the sacrifice (OT is a first born lamb) and NT is Eucharist/Mass where Christ is sacrificed; He being the Lamb)...sorry can't think of anything current ...very interesting question however.

Jewish women have more rights!

There's no pope in the synagogue!

The Synagogue follows the Old Testament, *instead* of making up their own rules like the catholic church!!!!!

Jewish men cover heads. Catholic men cover their tracks!

It's not okay to be gay if one's Jewish.

The Jews call God, I AM, God the Father. Caholics call God, Mary.

Jews are permitted to use birth-control.

to that person above im a woman and i am catholic and i feel happy being one you should respect that..not go around mocking other beliefs..if u wanna answer a question answer it properly stereotypes like that im sure is not encouraged in the jewish religion...
the jews believe in only the old testament in other words not in jesus christ being the son of god while the catholics believe in both the old and the new testament..catholics believe and pray to mary..while the jews do not..there are probably more differences but ultimately i think both religions are more similar than different..good luck on your project ;)
