i'm trying to think of theme's for our yearbook next year,
and not themes like "under the sea" or "roller coasters",
but themes that are deep and have meaning, like "elements", "you are here", etc. that are provocative and make you think and reflect.

or i need help elaborating on the theme of "treasures", which is an idea i'm tossing around right now. so it would be like a hidden treasure/diamond in the rough/x marks the spot kind of thing.

You can sometimes use sayings or phrases from the old Greek philosophers like Plato, Cicero, Socrates, etc. I keep having "I think, therefor, I am." but that's not too wonderful for graduation. As soon as I stop, one about the future or working, or perseverance will come to mind.

Rendezvous With Destiny

Read President Roosevelt's Rendezvous with Destiny speech (1936) and think how you would make it relevant as a framework for today's young people like those who will graduate from your school: http://www2.austincc.edu/lpatrick/his2341/fdr36acceptancespeech.htm

how about a mascquarade? sorry, i cant spell, anywho, it would be like unmasking the most popular people and the best couple and the student of the year and that kind of stuff. i think it sounds pretty neat, but maybe not as deep as you want it
