Who here is sick of racist questions and remarks?

I join yahoo answers was because I was genuinely confused about what I should do with my life, and to listen to other intelligent everyday people who a world of knowlegde and wisdom to offer. And perhaps that I could shed a beacon unto individuals in need.

Don't get me wrong, this site has been a wonderful resource when I needed to hear from someone who had already experienced what I was going through.
Nevertheless, I read more upsetting remarks regarding races. I'm only 16 years old and in the words of Dr. King I feel generalized and judged by the color of my skin rather than the content of my character. And as ironic as it sounds some people need to grow up and learn to understand that we all come from different walks of life, and the sooner we accept this the sooner we would be able to move forward and prosper as a nation. Who here feels the same way?

It is tiring and discouraging to realize that some people have such barbaric feelings. We can only hope that one day the world will become more tolerant of one another.

You sound like a very intelligent young lady and these racists could learn a valuable lesson from you.I live in Australia but it really surprises me the amount of race hatred that still is thriving in America and the hate that is written on here day in day out is disgusting and there is a certain few that are the main perpetrator I'm just glad that the same level of hatred doesn't exist in Australia although we do have racism it is nowhere near the level it seems to be in America.

I understand where you are coming from completely. I am an Atheist student and get the same remarks and threats regarding my thoughts everyday. Let me ask you this though. Do you think Dr. Kings thoughts really matter as a Christian when in turn he was cheating and being unfair to his wife ?

I love your thoughts of the subject and I wish people would grow up and realize that we are not the color of our skin something I try to teach my children but I just don't see that happening anytime soon to many people of all race feel the need to keep racism alive the sad thing is that as Americans they have the right to feel and say what they want.

Sure, some of the remarks are uncalled for and baiting in nature, but people have the right to speak their minds even if it is hateful. Rights are for everyone, even hate mongers. And frankly, them being so honest gives me a window into their minds. Know your enemies, my friend!!! Classic Sun Tsu. And since I am very successful in life, as are many of my family members, what people say cannot hurt me.

I do. I feel it's very unfair. Luckily, I live in Latin America and got through that stage quicker. I have a very ridiculous surname, which cause more people teasing. I am half japanese.
I hate it when people always think you are Chinese immediately when they see you are oriental.

And with the help of asking this question she would be in a position to be attentive to she have been given to you. in case you sense you "ought to do something" checklist her for trolling under "different" in the reporting variety.
