Um, things like that happens in school.
Do you not think girls hit/punch guys, grab guys butts and crotches, rub on their chests and abs in school? Do you not believe that happens? It's part of growing up.
Now, sexual harrassment in the workplace as adults is wrong. Even if it's consensual, it's inappropriate for the workplace.
But teenagers in school smooching and being touchy-feely is normal.
Must males be demonized for EVERYTHING?

I don't think that in any decade it was acceptable to do unsolicited or unwanted touching. Sexual harassment may have been less used/known but either way the touching was not an acceptable practice especially for a school girl.

i don't know . its not harassment its a compliment . i used to have this one girl in my home room and some other classes and i would grab her behind every time we saw each other and tell her she had the best *** in the school . it was true . i am sure it was a help to her . she had pimples so i don't think she would have felt to happy about her looks but my helping her was a very kind and generous thing to do . everyone of the cool guys and girls did this . i think it was really only when the fat ugly ones didn't get this nice attention that they made up this insane idea of harassment . them and the butch lesbians . all the girls i new loved the attention in fact i remember one girl asking me why i hadn't grabbed her *** in a while i said sorry and gave it a good feel . she said she thought she was getting out of shape.
so you see if it were not for our silly notions about pretending to find fat ugly women equal to good looking girls who are in good shape because they are not lazy pigs then the world would be again a much more friendly happy place .

I like big buts, song did not help much from the 80's or 90's, I would say it is all MTV and their campaign to try and sell sex and drugs to youth thru the music video. Especially the rap video. They have done the most to degrade the youth of today and yesterday then any media.

i think sexual harassment has always been around but just some institutions were afraid to push it due to political reasons and newspapers and most ppl just didn't want to get involved its ashamed that ppl are like that because if they were more involved maybe there wouldn't be so many sex offenders today

Funny, I know a 19 year old girl (today) who says the same thing happened to her in school. Thus, I guess nothing has changed much.
If you don't want to be notice why don't you wear a Hajib like the Muslim girls do!
Why don't you wear a flour sack. Do you want us to notice or not. You're choice.
Wear baggies and supersize at McDonalds and I WARRANTY WE WON'T NOTICE WE WON'T TOUCH.

Uh...YEAH! If you didn't invite or indicate that you wanted to be touched (and it sounds like you didn't), then it is sexual harassment...and assault.
