Is it true that the youth are more perseptive than adults? Is it true that younger people can figure things out quicker, and easier than adults, that they can sort out whats wrong easier? They may not be the smartest things, but they are more aware of their surroundings...

An older person would do things their own way, and never change, a young boy would watch the old person, figure out if there is a better way to do it, and then decide what option he will take...

I think it is true...

also... A child may not see all the harm that something may cause, and may not see all the consequences... But once they do it once, they learn from it...
If a child breaks something, he knows he did wrong, and will try his best not to do it...
If a child sees someone do a bad thing, he will attempt it once or twice, or maybe not, and he will figure out on his own that it is bad, and shouldnt be done, most cases, he will not do it again...

A child grows up being told that he cant do this, or can do that, when all they need to be told is that whatever you want to do, you can do it, as long as you look forward and realize the steps it takes...

Most people say kids cant do things an adult can... It is true, they can do different things... An adult doesnt think as quickly, or percieve the TRUTH in things.. They are less logical and quizzicle, which leads to the first gut feeling being right... when a kid gets that gut feeling he has to figure out if it is right or wrong..
that is all.

Yes it is true. Youth are more aware of what's going on in their surroundings simply because as they grow older, they
are experiencing and seeing things that are new to them.

Adults, meanwhile, are generally in a stable environment and
routine. Things around them are not new and they are less likely to be alert to noticing things around them.

There may be a difference in their perception of other people.
I think adults have a little more "street smarts" when it comes
to interracting with people.....then on second thought, what
I see on the news every night makes me question myself.

Well, every generation works that way. The youths watch the elders and learn from their mistakes. Part of the problem I see is that most of the older people aren't willing to try anything new because when they were younger they allowed themselves to get into a rut. They don't challenge themselves, because they fear being made fun of or criticized. There are people that always try new things, and are crapped on by society. It is usually the radicals that change the world, but they aren't appreciated during their lifetime.

No it's not entirely true. Sure a younger person can see things from a different perspective. But an older person has wisdom. And they know about more things in general. As a young person your so naive to the certain things and just can't grasp other things.

I would tend to agree with you but consider this an adult knows the consequences of there decisions. Like if they see a short cut home but don't put in to account the dangers that may lurk down that road. Yes the can solve problems faster but not nessecarily better

I think that's true too. For example I've beaten gears of war and when I gave an older person the controller he kept shooting at the wall and saying what the heck How do I shoot the bad guys?

When you are a child you are at your top learning potential....things filter through easier

When you age....your learning potential slows and filtering is slower yet....older people just can't make those mental changes as quickly as the young. It makes it seem like we are stubborn but in reality our minds don't process as quickly anymore.

It depends soley on the individuals that you're comparing, but generally speaking, I disagree. I think many "kids these days" (God, I sound like Mom & Dad) retain 5% of what they hear and fabricate the other 95% when repeating the story.

True, because children are more accepting of reality and take things as it is. Adults often rationalize and argue their way through it. That's part of our developmental tasks.

Agreed - on all sorts of levels. Children haven't yet had drummed into them by society that certain things are not possible, so they do them!

Yes, children are more perceptive but they don't have the knowledge or experience to know what to do with the information.
