I have seen many questions on Yahoo! Answers that I just wouldn't waste my time answering. But then I wondered... does every question deserve someone's thoughtful attention? Why or why not? Just wonderin'...

I guess it depends on why each individual answerer is using Y!Answers. A question that might seem trollish or foolish to me might be interesting or worthwhile to another. Generally, you can tell if something is posted due to boredom, or for the shock value, and I'll leave those to others who enjoy playing that game. There is something for just about everyone's answering capability to be found here, and I try to stick with what I know, or what I can research quickly.

Yes, most people have a good reason for asking a question, even if they do not disclose it. Furthermore, don't you deserve to expand your brain by thinking about questions. Both the person asking and the person answering benefit.

I think questions deserve to be answered with the same amount of thought and respect that was put into them.

If someone took the time to ask a question, they deserve an answer. Even the stupid ones. 'cause it may seem stupid to you but they need that answer sooooooo start typing and give 'em one.

They all do, unless they're more like a hateful comment disguised in the form of a question. Then they should be ignored (and maybe even reported if it's bad enough)

if the questions are interesting I answer if not I don't bother w/the stupid questions, but then again, maybe if u do answer the stupid questions u will knock more sense into those ppl.

all questions doesn't need answers specially silly and stupid questions. maybe, those who answered have nothing else to do.
